(Română) HABITAT

Arnica montana grows on sloppy land, bad orography, often with bedrock at the surface, on semi-acid rocks, on soils having a thin useful layer, well drainage, acid soils and having poor nutrient supply.

The typical habitats of Arnica montana are mountain meadows generally used through a mixed system (mowing and grazing). This type of semi-natural grasslands shows rich plant diversity and they are areas of common interest. In Natura 2000 Program (Annex 1) Arnica montana sites appear as priority habitats in the Nardus stricta meadows (code R 6230) and mountain hay meadows (code R 6520).
